About Zach

Zachary Wilson is a freelance play-by-play broadcaster based on Long Island, New York, with experience calling a wide range of high school and collegiate sports, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse.

His broadcasting journey began in 2018 at Stony Brook University, where he joined WUSB, the university’s student radio station covering Stony Brook Athletics. His time with WUSB included covering the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament and 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, along with calling games at venues including Carnesecca Arena, JMA Wireless Dome, and SECU Stadium.

After graduating, Zach began his freelance career, working with schools including Army West Point, Rutgers-Newark, Adelphi, and Queens College. In 2022, he called games for the Winnipesaukee Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). In 2024, he provided play-by-play for the NCCAA Men’s Volleyball Invitational in Rochester, New York, before traveling to Austin, Texas, for the inaugural season of the Lone Star State Collegiate League (LSCL).
