About Zach

Zachary Wilson is a freelance play-by-play broadcaster based on Long Island, New York, with experience calling a wide range of sports at the high school and collegiate levels, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse.

His broadcasting journey began in 2018 while attending Stony Brook University, when he joined WUSB, the university’s student radio station covering Stony Brook Athletics. His time with WUSB included covering the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament and the 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, along with calling games at venues including Carnesecca Arena, JMA Wireless Dome, and SECU Stadium.

After graduating from Stony Brook, Zach began his freelance broadcasting career, working with schools including Army West Point, Rutgers-Newark, Adelphi, and Queens College. In the summer of 2022, he called games for the Winnipesaukee Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). In 2024, he provided play-by-play for the NCCAA Men’s Volleyball Invitational in Rochester, New York, before traveling to Austin, Texas, for the inaugural season of the Lone Star State Collegiate League (LSCL).
